About our speaker: Representative Ellen Troxclair is the proven conservative voice for Texas House District 19, the heart of the Hill Country. Elected and re-elected in decisive victories, she has served with distinction in the 88th and 89th Legislative Sessions, and subsequent special sessions. A devoted wife and mother, church member, nonprofit leader, and small business owner, Representative Troxclair is honored to represent the Texans of Blanco, Burnet, Gillespie, Kendall, and western Travis Counties.

During the 88th Legislature, she served on the Homeland Security & Public Safety Committee, Culture, Recreation & Tourism Committee, the House Select Committee on Community Safety, and the Select Study Committee on Sustainable Property Tax Relief. In the 89th Legislature, she served on the Ways & Means Committee, the Department of Government Efficiency Committee, and the Select Committee for Governmental Oversight.

Representative Troxclair was a key advocate in passing both the largest property tax cut – so far – and the biggest day-one school choice bill in United States history, at the forefront of protecting private property and our natural world against ill-sited infrastructure incursions, providing unprecedented support to secure our border, defining “man” and “woman” in State law, protecting women’s ability to compete fairly in sports, and ensuring that our children are shielded from those who wish them harm. She is a leading voice in ensuring every child has access to a great education, expanding property tax relief, and keeping Texas a great place to enjoy, live, work, and raise a family.

Her principled low tax, limited government, and pro-child values have helped to shape the national conversation and keep Texas a beacon of liberty.

Representative Troxclair is the bestselling author of Step Up! How to Advocate like a Woman, inspiring a new generation of conservative women to boldly join the fight, through advocacy and leadership in policy and politics. Representative Troxclair previously served as the youngest-ever elected woman, and lone conservative voice, on Austin City Council. In addition to managing a thriving small business in residential real estate, her background also includes work as a Senior Fellow with the Texas Public Policy Foundation, as a Fox News contributor, and as a writer for Real Clear Politics, the Washington Examiner, and the Daily Caller.

Representative Troxclair and her husband Caleb are active members of their local church and school communities, and loving parents of three young children, who are ninth generation Texans. The Troxclairs are steadfast in their Christian faith, and seek to foster in their family an appreciation of the natural beauty and bounty of our state, and the spirit of grit & grace which has made Texas such a unique and special place to call home.

Parking: Parking is available in the attached Procore Tower garage. Please note that there are two entrances and two exits for the garage. The entrances are on 5th Street and Colorado Street and the exits are on 5th Street and Lavaca Street. Carpooling is encouraged as the garage can get congested when exiting. Parking will be validated thanks to our Industry Partner, Peak Parking. Validations will be provided at the IREM check-in table upon departure.
