May 2026 Monthly Luncheon

Make plans to join us on May 12 from 11:30 AM–1:00 PM at the Westwood Country Club [3808 W 35th St] featuring Mary Petrovich, Utility Strategist with Austin Energy and special guest, Valerie Paxton with the Austin Energy Solar Programs. This will be an engaging and timely discussion focused on sustainability in commercial real estate and how local initiatives are shaping the future of our industry.

Meet Mary Petrovich: Mary joined AEGB in 2017 as a Project Coordinator and transitioned to a Utility Strategist position in 2022. She provides guidance and resources to new construction projects pursuing an AEGB Commercial Rating, helping them achieve their sustainability goals. Her areas of expertise for the AEGB rating include Indoor Environmental Quality and Materials, alignment with LEED, WELL and other rating systems, and GIS resources and processes. Prior to working with AEGB, Mary was a sustainable building consultant for projects pursuing LEED, AEGB and other rating systems. Throughout her career, Mary has worked with a wide range of commercial and institutional building types and clients, including retail tenant finish-outs, offices, hospitals, hotels, multi-family residences, schools, and master-planned developments.

Favorite projects include:

• Texas Disposal Systems Materials Recovery Facility – LEED Silver
• Mueller Airport Neighborhood Redevelopment – LEED ND Pilot Gold
• Austin Independent School District 2017 Bond – 17 Schools pursued AEGB ratings
